It is always interesting to meet with colleagues from the UK and overseas to discuss interesting cases and the last few weeks have been particularly busy on this front.  As well as attending the Sinus Forum in New York I was a Faculty member of the Cambridge Sinus Course and on the organising Committee of the EASSC which attracted delegates and faculty from around the world

New nasal implant benefits patients

The a Wengen titanium nasal implant has been widely used on the Continent for the treatment of nasal obstruction at the level of the internal nasal valve, the narrowest part of the nose. I was one of the first surgeons to use this in the UK and consider that it renders alternative techniques (cartilage grafts and lateral suspension sutures for example) obsolete.
